Sometimes Owen’s father is said to be a Frank Pinch. As his eldest daughter Martha was born in Geneva, New York, the residence of coppersmith John Pinch, it is very likely that Owen was John’s son, the 5-9 year-old son of John reported in the 1830 census.

Owen and Fannie Lived in New York until about 1851. Their daugther Frances was born in Pennsylvania in 1852, their son Benjamin in New York in 1854, and they moved to Michigan sometime between 1854 and 1857.
